Drawing Class Spring 2024

We are so excited to be offering a drawing class starting in April! Our drawing class includes 6 weekly classes that run from April through May (exact dates are listed below.) Classes are 1.5 hours. This class will be for children 9 years old and older who want to focus specifically on drawing tools and techniques. We will use tools such as pencils, charcoal, colored pencils, and more. We will also learn techniques such as drawing realistically, shading, cross-hatching, and more. All supplies are included in the cost and each child will receive a drawing kit and sketchbook with their own tools to use throughout the session and take home at the end of the session so they can continue practicing at home. It will be taught by our new teacher, Aly. She is excited to share her love of drawing with everyone. To learn more about Aly and see some of her drawings, click HERE.

We believe in teaching art in a creative environment where kids not only learn art techniques, but are given the chance to be creative and create their own masterpieces. We do this by reserving the first part of the class to teaching and practicing various techniques and skills and the second part of the class for kids to use these techniques and skills in combination with their own creativity to create their own unique art project.

Space is limited and is filling up quickly, so sign up as soon as possible.

The drawing class will also be included in our Spring Session Art gallery which will be held May 20, 5:30-8:00. This is a great way for kids to display their artwork in a museum-like setting for friends and family to see. More information will be sent home the first week of class.

9 years old and older

Thursdays 6:00-7:30

Gallery will be held on May 20th.

NOTE: You are welcome to sign up for this class along with our regular art classes if you would like. Both classes will cover different techniques and mediums and may be taken simultaneously.
